Hello all,
My name is Charles, and I am a 22 year old resident of El Segundo. I have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and a spotless background and driving record. I am looking for work in the firearm industry.
My first experience in learning gunsmithing was taking a general gunsmithing course and earning a certificate of achievement from Ashworth College that has taught me the basics of the gunsmithing field, including stock fitting, bluing, scope mounting, etc.
I also have taken courses and earned certification for armorer's courses for both the 1911 and AR platform firearms from the Sonoran Desert Institute. I have also earned a certificate in ballistics and reloading from SDI.
As for personal experience, I have restored many non-functional firearms back to working condition, as I primarily work on older firearms, both military and civilian older than 1970. I have also built a number of functional firearms from parts kits, meticulously converting parts kits into both state and federally legal semi auto carbines.
I also have related experience in machining, welding, and wood working.
I am currently a student at El Camino College for Automotive Tech, which will mean any potential work schedule will have to be flexible around my school schedule, but I am willing to do anything possible to make that happen.
I can provide a resume, professional and personal references, as well as proof of my education background.
Thank you in advance for giving me the opportunity. Just a chance for a step in the door in the firearms industry means the world to me. It has been my passion since childhood!
