DROS a handgun that falls off roster tomorrow

OK here's one question that was put to me, but I need a little help on this one: PRK sold and ran a handgun to a customer 2-3 hours before the one handgun per 30 day requirement and DOJ kicked it back. It is now more then 30 days and he is eligible to buy it but the handgun falls off the roster tomorrow and they told him it was his fault and they can not run the handgun and he looses the money and the weapon. Isn't it still good to run a handgun as long as it's still on the roster and pick up after the 10 days???
Comments please or if someone has good number to call DOJ in regards to this.

if a handgun is on the roster when you start the DROS and merely falls off due to it not being renewed, any existing DROSes may continue and be picked up after 10-days, even if that is after the roster expiration.

BUT, if the handgun is pulled from the roster by DOJ for failing a retest or being ruled to be changed from the tested model (Like what happened to the SR22), then any outstanding DROSes are cancelled.

as for who's fault it was, did the customer tell PRK that he was currently on 30-day hold and when i would expire so that they could run it after that time? was PRK the one that sold him the earlier gun so they already had the info available to them to know when the 30-days would be up? or was it purchased from another dealer?

and, it's possible that the handgun might get renewed and all this be moot.

Thanks I thought so, and yes they sold him the first handgun. He said they told him what day to come back and DROS it and he did.

M&P 40 Shield SKU 187020 still there till 01-01-"2016" the only ones that fall off tomorrow are two 22s. ????
