I have a deputy that wants to transfer his high cap AR to another deputy. Same process as PPT? Thanks for the help in advance.

What's a "high cap AR"?
If it happens to refer to a deputy's personally-owned, law-enforcement-registered 'assault weapon', seems like it would be the same deal as the original - needs a letter from CLEO of the buyer.PC 30630Required
authorization is defined as verifiable written certification from the
head of the agency, identifying the recipient or possessor of the
assault weapon as a peace officer and authorizing that person to
receive or possess the specific assault weapon.
ETA and I'm not sure it works deputy to deputy - store to deputy, yes.
If it is a non-'assault weapon' - not a 'listed' lower, either magazine lock + features or no features, then it's just a rifle, and that would be a PPT.Last edited by Librarian; 12-18-2014, 7:09 PM.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good! -
And if it is a RAW do realize you need to have the extra licensing.UG Imports - Fremont, CA FFL - Transfers, New Gun Sales
