    Pima County Sheriff Firearms Auction?!?!

Anyone know if this is legit or a scam, got a phone call then a email about this online auction but it is being hosted by a auto wrecking company?!?!?!!

PIMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT FIREARM AUCTION

    GOOD LUCK!

The fact they are requiring money upfront and no one to call to make live bids makes me think it is a scam just wanted to know before calling the Pima County Sheriff's office to confirm.

    Thanks

I have never dealt with them before but you can always call tomorrow and verify with the Sheriffs office that they are doing on with that company.

I have had to put upwards of $5,000 on hold for some auctions. $215 seems to me like it may just weed out the people who bid to bid. $15 is the processing fee they are charging for bidders.

Same here have been to auctions requiring up front but to not have a # for live bidding plus being a auto wrecking company made me wonder.

I hear ya but I am sure government agencies just farm it all out through a bid process.
