    Gunbroker sale.

    Folks,

I have a fella that purchased a Winchester model 70 from me, he lives in Texas. His FFL will not accept the rifle via mail. He says it has to be transferred through a California dealer. Is this true? Thanks to all, A2

It is up to the FFL if he will accept from a private party. It is within his rights to refuse.

Either change FFL's or ship through a FFL.

Some states (IIRC, MA?) require interstate transactions to be FFL to FFL. I doubt (please doublecheck) that TX is one of those states, so it’s probably just the receiving FFL’s prerogative.

Let you buyer know and she what they want to do.
