Is it Legal for me to send a firearm through UPS to an FFL with my ID (for transfer) and not go through a ffl where I am and have them send it?

It's legal to do that (send the firearm to an FFL), but it would not be a PPT; both participants in a PPT must appear in person at the same FFL.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good! -
First off, it would not be a PPT since a CA PPT is where both CA residents go to a FFL to do the transfer.
If your question is whether you can legally ship a firearm to a FFL for transfer to another person, then the answer is yes, BUT the FFL might refuse to accept firearms from non-FFLs and if the firearm is a handgun and is being shipped for transfer to a CA resident, then it has to be on the certified list, exempt or the buyer has to be exempt (ie. LEO).
It is sometimes cheaper (depending on the fee the FFL charges) to ship a handgun through a FFL since a FFL can ship USPS, which is much cheaper than UPS/FedEx.Kemasa.

If the gun being sent is an off-roster gun and being sent from their FFL, is there any way to transfer it to the buyer if he/she is not exempt (LE, Military ext.)?Comment
