Serial Number entered wrong on DROS paperwork

Hey FFL's!

I did a PPT on a gun last friday (pick up this monday). I noticed that the gun store put the wrong serial number down on the paperwork- the last letter is a Z and they wrote it as a 2. Does the gun need to be re-DROS'd and I have to wait another 10 days to pick up?

An actual FFL can confirm this, but I believe they are allowed to submit one free correction without having to do a new DROS. Tell them before you pick up, or upon picking up, and they should make it right. If they don't (one shop whined about it when I brought it up), tell them you'd like to share your experience with the DOJ and ATF and watch them change their tune.

FFL can make corrections on SN. They an do it on the computer even after pick up.
