    DROS situation - am I S.O.L.?

    Here's the possible scenario:

I purchased Pistol A that will not begin DROS until Nov. 28 due to an unrelated DROS scheduling conflict (pistol currently in FFL's safe and falls off the gun roster Dec 31).

I'd like to purchase Pistol B at a LGS that I just realized falls off the gun roster Dec 14.

My question is, if I first buy Pistol B on Nov. 24, I can't DROS Pistol A until Dec 24. Realistically, nobody works the last week of December. Can I DROS Pistol A in early January (as I purchased the pistol in November)?

If that isn't possible, is there another possible scenario that allows me to first buy Pistol B and then DROS Pistol A in January?

    Thank you.

you can only DROS a pistol if it is currently on the roster the moment you start DROS. it doesn't matter when you may have paid for it, only when the DROS is submitted.

since both iterms are currently on the Roster, is either one in danger of not being renewed? If the guns are unchanged since testing, and the manufacturer is still selling them, they will probably just renew the listing for another year. you may want to reach out to the manufacturers and see if they can tell you if they will be renewing.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
