Any of you FFLs have a decent source for ammo distributors that you can share or PM? I know-long shot-but had to ask. Seems my distributor rarely has anything I need and if so it seems to be the same price or close to ammoseek or gunbot. At least on those sights I can pick and choose what I want....

I think RSR sells ammo. But we've never ordered through them because like you said ammo cost are high and I can think of better ways of spending our money than making a few cents off of each box of ammo.

You have to pick and choose between the high price and the deals. Having a good rep will make all the difference. They will be able to pull stuff not available via the web site, they will also call when something becomes available when they can.

Unless you are buying shipping containers of ammo you can't compete with online prices. We have ordered hundreds of thousands of rounds to only tie up 6 figures and to make $.0075 a round.

I spent a lot of time negotiating with Wolf and was placing a huge order and their final price was still higher than Walmart.

When I need ammo I go through a friend that only sells ammo. The ammo side of the business is extremely tight-knit and my buddy won't even let me know how he gets his ammo. He does not place orders. He has a continuous supply coming in. Placing orders will not get you good pricing. Multi-year contracts will. On the plus side when I find a good deal I can have ammo trucked to his business. It is so much cheaper when shipped LTL to a business with forklifts and loading docks. I can get cases of .22 shipped to me for $5/5000 when I buy by the pallet.

There are ways to get into the cheaper pricing if you want to sell a lot of ammo without typing up your own funds but it is barely worth the hassle and if your ammo does not sell fast enough you start losing money.

Thanks for the feedback. I always have people asking for ammo but like you all say there's not much POI on it. Just sucks turning people away to point them to the bot websites. Crow used to be really good for me but I haven't been able to get anything from them in a long time cheaper than the web. I don't buy 100k's worth of ammo I guess
