FFL Sacramento Area

I've never purchased a firearm that required shipping. However, I've found a particular shotgun in Southern CA that I have been unable to find in Northern CA and am very interested in purchasing it. The current owner is a non-FFL and wants to ship it via UPS to a Sacramento area FFL. However, I've been unable to find a Sacramento area (Nevada City to Sacramento) FFL that will accept a shotgun shipped in this manner. Also, I've been quoted transfer fees of between $90 to $140. Is that the going rate?

Sounds a bit exorbitant in my opinion. For such a transaction I charge $40.00 plus $25.00 DROS. UPS typically charges between $25 and $40 depending upon weight plus any insurance. Maybe the value of the shotgun bumped the insurance up??

I probably wasn't clear. The UPS price is not in question as the selling has indicated it's between $35-$55. The question I have is there a local (Sacramento area to Nevada City area) FFL that would accept a firearm shipment from Southern CA from a private firearm's owner (not an FFL).

Not to mention the cost of shipping is applied to your Transfer... i just bought my XDS yesterday and it was $14.xx to ship and he only charged me $10.80 for the transfer.
