Bullet button on an AR pistol

Thought I might find the answer here. Being that the AR is registered as a"Pistol" does it still require a bullet button?

Not 100% on the rules, I believe it's something to do with the magazine not being in the grip that makes it still require a BB.

Yes indeed. And nothing larger than a 10 round magazine.

Takes away a lot of fun if you grew up on standard firearms that had not been rendered unsafe and less useful by your "rulers."
