    Delayed Delivery from anFFL?

Can anyone help explain what the phrase "delayed delivery" of a new pistol from an FFL means? A buddy was just told this by a local shop, but they couldn't explain was going on.

Sounds like DOJ delayed him for background check reasons. He'll have to figure out, with minimal help from DOJ cuz they don't want anyone to have a gun, what is rearing it's ugly head from his past. Unpaid parking ticket from 25 years ago...delayed!! Ok, maybe not that bad, but you get the idea.

it means that the FFL has been told that they can't currently deliver the firearm to the pruchaser after the 10-day wait. the buyer hasn't been proven to be a denied purchaser, but there is something in the background check that CADOJ is concerned about and wants further time to investigate. after 30-days, if CADOJ can't confirm that the buyer is OK or denied, CADOJ will either notifiy the FFL that the FFL can release it if they wish.

Actually, an unpaid parking ticket would come through "Rejected DMV". (I believe)...... I'm no expert by any means. Your buddy likely has some issues with his criminal arrest record where charges were likely thrown out, dismissed, or reduced and the record "outcome" was never updated with the DOJ.
