    DROS down, can you release?

If the DROS system is down (like right now) is there anything that prevents the release of a firearm after the 10 days?

I would think that without it, you cannot confirm the status (outside of the ten days which is obvious).

I assume we could log on and deliver it when the system comes back up?

No you cannot. It is also not down right now.

I noticed today that they may have messed with some of their servers and I had to do a DNS flush for the shop computers to find the site.

Now, imagine if a properly motivated Attorney General ordered the servers to shut down.

Or, if a motivated anti-gun group sponsored a DDOS attack on the servers.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I have thought of it. It would bring the legal firearms market to a screeching halt in a second.
