    Storage Question

I'll be starting a business soon (actually taking over the physical location I've worked at for 10 years under a new name) and will be venturing into firearms. About ready to submit my FFL application, but have a storage question.

I understand you don't necessarily need a safe, but am not 100% clear on what is needed (by the person doing the final interview more than what is written).

Here is what I have planned:
    • Commercial business with 24/7 alarm monitoring (glass break sensors, door sensors, motion sensors).
    • Camera system that records 24/7, can be viewed remotely.
    • Firearms would be stored upstairs (main business space is ground floor, upstairs is more of an office area) in a back room behind a locked door. Only way into the back room is via the one door, but will have a motion sensor in the room anyway.

Do you think that would satisfy the requirements?

    Security Requirements

If the business is located in a city with a population greater than 50,000 or in the unincorporated area of a county with a population of greater that 200,000 security requirements pursuant to PC section 12071(b)14) apply

So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.
