Reminder: LA has a 1 in 30 Rule for PPTs

I just made a noob mistake. (I am one.)

Went to Turners Reseda to PPT. Got asked if I had another PPT in work and I said yes.

They said they could not process the PPT until the 30 days was up based on a Los Angeles City "rule" or the DROS would be rejected.

I had searched earlier to verify this was not a problem since PPTs are exempt per a different thread on Calguns and I had done this once before elsewhere. (Found the LA 1 in 30 thread when I got back home today.)

Anyway, twinpop and I then went to Oak Tree (closed for inventory check) and finally wound up at Gretas Guns where we completed the deal.

    Whew.

Special thanks to twinpop for having the time and patience (and the Ruger).

Public Where do I find laws regarding the possession of firearms? I'm not sure whether I have a California record that would prevent me from owning/possessing a firearm. Is there a way to find out before I attempt to purchase one? What is the process for purchasing a firearm in California? How can I obtain a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) license? Can I give a firearm to my adult child? Can he/she give it back to me later? Can I give a firearm to my spouse or registered domestic partner? Can he/she give it back to me later?

Signal Hill is not within the city limits of Los Angeles.

The City of Los Angeles, has ordinance

"SEC. 55.14. SALE OR PURCHASE OF MORE THAN ONE HANDGUN WITHIN A THIRTY DAY PERIOD PROHIBITED."
