Employees Of HSC Instructor Doing Safe Handling Demo?

Can my employees do handgun demonstrations under my license for me? Or do they need to be certified instructors themselves?

Only the HSC Instructor can do the demo. You might be able to watch them do it, but you have to personally see it and sign the form.

That's what I was thinking and that's how we do it but always kind of wondered why on the form they put an instructor signature and an employee signature line if that is the case.

What exactly is overseeing it? Does being in the same room count as overseeing it or do you have to actually be there standing over them?

Your name is on the line, literally, so unless you actually see the person do all of the steps, you should not sign it in my opinion.

The employee can sell the firearm and do the rest of the paperwork, which then they would sign the form. If you are doing all of the paperwork, then you sign in multiple places.

You could go to another shop, if their HSC Instructor was not available, and do the demo. They would have a person sign as the employee.
