    Creating a vault.

I have been told that when opening a store a "virtual vault" must be made in order to open the business and satisfy "who"?

This would be to not have to clear out inventory off the walls or in glass cases to avoid theft when the business is closed.

Is there a guideline somewhere that tells me what i need to do to comply with this said regulation. (other than what i might think is common sense) thanks

Secure storage is in CA PC 12086.

There are a few options, but even the largest safe will not compare to a walk in closet or entire room, or larger.

      It's 26890 now - see also (b)
      (b) The licensing authority in an unincorporated area of a county
or within a city may impose security requirements that are more
strict or are at a higher standard than those specified in
      subdivision (a).
      So, perhaps it's something local?

What is considered "secure" (to the FFL's on this forum)

You have your showcase, and then you have your boxes of "jailed" items in DROS. Are they put in a safe or multiple safes or a vault type room? What constitutes safe and secure from theft in a GS.

We have all windows and doors gated or barred. This was enough to keep everyone happy. It turned the entire shop into a vault. We built a separate reinforced room for secure storage of jailed firearms.

This is what i was looking for.

Can you explain to me either here or a PM on what you did to construct your "vault"

Plywood under drywall or did you go full monty and steel plate stuff?

The custom vault was built from the ground up, steel reinforced.
