Texas purchase to CA FFL

I want to purchase a rifle in Texas from a private party. Its a C&R bolt action but I don't have a C&R.

If I purchase the rifle do I send it to an FFL for processing or does the seller?

The seller ships to ffl here. You cannot take possesion till done with dros here. You cannot buy it in texas and then send to ca ffl in person.

He must be in contact with ffl here and ship according to the ffls terms. Contact addax in San Fernando he handles shipped firearms all the time. Dmitri is a good guy.

According to FEDERAL Law, it needs to be transferred through a FFL in the buyer's state of residency.

Some FFLs won't accept shipments from non FFLs but, there is no law against it.
