    CFCL Authorization Number question

Does an out of state 01FFL (I know 03 & 06 are excluded from the system) need to register for the CFCL and get a verification number if they are shipping a C&R long gun?

I'm thinking no they do not based on this

California Firearms Licensee Check (CFLC) Program Beginning July 1, 2008, PC Section 12072(f)( 1) prohibits all FFL holders (other than Type 03 or 06) from delivering, selling, or transferring a firearm (excluding curio & relic long guns) to an FFL in California unless, prior to delivery, the person intending to deliver, sell, or transfer the firearm obtains a verification number from DOJ. THIS INCLUDES CALIFORNIA FIREARM DEALERS AND MANUFACTURERS WHO ARE ACTIVE ON THE DOJ CENTRALIZED LIST, WHO TRANSFER FIREARMS TO ANOTHER FFL WITHIN THE STATE.
But running a search yields very conflicting results on here of both, yes they need to go through CFCL or no they're fine without.

Long gun in question is a 1922 Springfield rimfire trainer.

    If it's 01 to 01 I believe so.
