I need a little guidance

If you have a FFL can you use what California would classify as an assault rifle for shop promotion? A shop by my house has a case and wall of LEO only rifles and hand guns, if you have a FFL could you shoot those firearms, which would normally be illegal under the pretense of stock familiarity and shop promotion?

Not an ffl but my understanding is that if you have the Aw license you can shoot them for "demonstration" type purposes.
