Rifle and pistol on same DROS

    Hi guys,

I know before 2014 you couldn't put both a handgun and longgun on the same DROS, but I heard somewhere that this changed as of the first of the year? I know this topic has most likely been covered before. When I searched I only found old and erroneous threads. Is what I heard true? Or are we still at each handgun needing it's own? Thanks you guys

Each firearm needs its own DROS now. In the past, any number of non-hanguns could be done on one DROS, but that is not the case anymore as the serial number for long guns has to be submitted.

One change, which is what I suspect you are more concerned about, is that there is only one fee for any number of DROS submitted at the same time, which is $25. In the past, there was a discount for a second handgun, but now you can buy a firearm from the dealer, do a PPT from multiple people, and it is just one DROS fee.

There is only one DROS fee for any number of firearms, any types of transfer, processed at the same time.
