    Some interesting and freightening facts!!

Just for the hey of I started keeping track March 1, of the number of handguns that were dropped from the DOJ list of approved handguns.

    1. 35 handguns were dropped in the month of March.
    2. 1 handgun was added to the list.
    3. Since 1/1/14, 147 handguns have been dropped from the list..........

An anyone want to guess where this is going????

It's due to the microstamping requirment, is well known, and is being contested in court.

It appeared as though you were asking a question vs. already knowing it was the microstamping issue and being contested in court. You didn't mention that in your first post and I didn't realize the question was rhetorical.

The two most common phone discussion in my shop sounds like this.

            1. No we are out of that ammo.
            2. Sorry, that handgun is not on the CA list.

We all sound like parrots babbling the same thing call after call.
You, you, and you: Panic. The rest of you, come with me.

You should come back to this thread monthly and update the number. Would be useful to track. I heard a rumor from a customer that S&W might be renewing the Shield vs letting it fall off..

We'll see come 7/2 if that happens or not.

The Smith & Wesson Shield and SD9VE/SD40VE will remain on the roster. Smith has said that they do not plan on making any changes to those models so that they can remain on the roster.

As of Aug. 2nd, 947 handguns remain on the approved list!
338 have been dropped off the list since 1/1/2014...........

Not what I'd call a bright future.

Usually why I'll pay more to shop at a store that updates their inventory on their website.
