    Free laugh at my expense.

Got a call today from DOJ with questions about a DROS I submitted last week. Apparently I checked all of the questions yes.

In 20 years I have never done this. The guy from DOJ was very nice and only laughed at me after I laughed first.

You may all go about the rest of your day knowing at least you didn't turn one of your local cops into a 5150 felon who beats his wife. :-)

Everything was fine. They said they had to call to verify, but it was no big deal. He made it sound like this happens often. ..Kind of scary.

Things like that happen. A few years ago I filled out a 4473 quickly and checked the wrong box on one answer. The sales guy asked me if I was for real and I laughed. He went and got a second form and made me fill it out. Then he took them both back to the office to shred the first and have the 2nd one checked ...

Yeah, he shredded the wrong one and I had to fill out a 3rd.

Didn't cost me anything but a few extra minutes.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

What the heck is with your FFL? Mine always check all of that info. They don't want to hold sold items because of dumb typos/mis-checked boxes.

Should have told them one of your other personalities filled out the form.

                  Sorry, not sorry.

You should have let them send their special tacticool team to the officer's home to confiscate all his weapons. Maybe then they would reconsider how dangerous their special units are to public safety.

Haha I can relate... I was taking a beginner's handgun class and before we starting shooting we had to fill out paperwork. And I checked that yes, I was a convicted felon. Let's just say I did not get off easy on that one
