    ffl personal collection

    i have two complete lowers from stag .i am taking from inventory into my personal collection.out of my bound book into personal.is that all.or do i reg them with doj as personal firearm .or for that matter any firearm i move from bound book to my personal collection .how does all that work .the same for an off roster hand gun for my ccw.

    I believe the transfers depends on your FFL business. My FFL is under my corporation and I have to DROS the firearms to myself. Also after Jan 2014, you have to DROS a long gun now.

    As for an off roster gun, you need to SSE the gun to yourself.

      Or used the volreg form.

        It would not make sense to PPT a firearm to yourself. You would be saying that you already owned it, which is not the case if your business owns it, well, unless you are a sole proprietor perhaps, which would be interesting if that could be done.

        To do the volreg, you would have to look to see if you are required to submit a DROS as a FFL. It would also get strange as to show where it came from.
