    Can An 01 Gunsmith Work On Legally Owned Assault Weapons?

    Can a regular 01/07 FFL Gunsmith work on a customers legally owned assault weapons if they do not have an assault weapons permit?

      As long as the owner is present, they can. The gun can not be left with them unless they have a Ca AWP.
