Since CA is a "full point of contact" state for the ATF, do standard NICS checks via phone or internet still have to be done? Or is there a California specific system used to accomplish the same thing (other than the normal DROS)? Thanks.

Are you asking about in relation to a firearm transfer? If yes, the only background check that dealers execute is a DROS transaction. The DOJ then conducts a NICS check + whatever else they do.UG Imports - Fremont, CA FFL - Transfers, New Gun Sales
