    COE expired—easiest way to renew?

Someone missed to renew so wondering if there is an easy way to renew or if I need to do something else?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's a full reapply at that point. Hope it wasn't a dealership CEO...

a couple years ago my COE renewal apparently got lost in the mail when I sent it in, so it was about 2-3 months that it had been expired when I realized I never got my new COE and they had never cashed the check. I called CADOJ and they just had me send in a new renewal form and they issued the new COE with the same number.

I've seen others post that they called CADOJ and as long as it was less than 12 months expired, that they could just renew it, but if it was over 12 months old, then they had to do a new one.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I've renewed twice now late by about a month or so - They issued new COE just back dated though -

yup, if your old one expired 7-1-13 and you renewed today, the new one would be valid until 7-1-14, not 12 months from when they process the renewal.
