    ffl shipping problems

I have a fire arm that I received from my grandfather who past away last year it has been stored at my dad's house in oklahoma till now and I came out to visit and would like to bring it back to california so I can shoot it. What do I need to do. The fire arm is a Smith model 590

Would it be easier to just get a locked case and check it with my bag or should I ship it to an full dealer and what not

Pm me a message would be the easiest

FAQ - IF the gun were specifically willed to you - not just 'oh, everybody knows gramps wanted little Swiss to have this', but actually a written instruction - then you can just go get it and bring it back. In that case, no FFL required or desired.

What is a 'Smith 590'? I don't recognize that name.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
