I'm out of state (georgia) and trying to buy a c&r shotgun from a pawn shop here. He seams to think that I can't take possession of it here, that he will have to ship it to my address in Ca. I have an 03 and a COE. From what I understand I can cash and carry. Does anyone have the penal codes that state this? All I found was that I can "purchase and ship" from out of state. I think this is where the confusion is. He thinks that he has to ship it. I was planning on taking it home as luggage on the plane home. Any help would be great. Pain in the but searching this stuff on my phone. Thanks.

If you are outside of CA, Federal law applies. He can deliver it to you at their shop as they would with any other C&R holder. -
Thanks. I'm aware of that. I was looking for something official to show the owner tomorrow, more importantly. I guess he has a c&r too, and tried to use it in Maryland. They told him there that he could only take kind on in his home state and it had to be shipped. C&r fud all over the us.Comment
