Hello! I am looking for someone that can transfer a Sig rifle for me. I think what made it CA non-compliant is the 25-mag that comes with it. Seller is willing to ship as long as the FFL dealer is willing to accept it. Said that what I need is a dealer that has a Class 7 license. I think removing or transferring the rifle to me without the mag makes the rifle legal. If you can or know of someone, please let me know. Local to me is San Jose, CA, Fremont, Livermore, Milpitas (basically Bay Area). Thanks!

What exactly is the issue?
The magazine can be taken apart (until 2014) or not shipped with the firearm.
There is no reason that you should need an 07FFL to do the transfer. Since it is a rimfire, the so-called a-salt weapon issues don't apply.Kemasa.
False signature edited by Paul: Banned from the FFL forum due to being rude and insulting. Doing this continues his abuse.
Don't tell someone to read the rules he wrote or tell him that he is wrong.

Exactly. You can walk into a CA gun store and buy a Sig 522 off the shelf. It will have a 10rnd mag substituted for the 25, but all the other "features" like the folding stock will be be present. Might be something you want to consider before paying the shipping and transfer fees..
