A valid HSC will still be good for handgun purchases, but not long gun purchases.

Once your HSC expires, you will not need to get another one because the new FSC (Firearms Safety Certificate) is good for both handguns and long guns.


HSC = for handguns only
FSC = for both handguns and long guns
