Ammo sales

Stupid question, but since I don't sell ammo I have never looked into this. Do you need any extra licensing or local permits to sell ammo? Does this depend on the city you operate in? Do you need anything extra from the state? I'm ignorant on this subject since I have never cared to sell ammo, but was asked by a friend who operates a store in Hesperia and who does NOT have an FFL at that store. They have an FFL at a different store location and my guess is they have a bunch of ammo they are trying to get rid of.

Nothing special required unless your city requires it. E.g., you may have local code/law/permit requirements that force you to have everything in a locked container or something. From a general state/federal law standpoint nothing special is needed.
