    Reverse intra-familial transfer possible?

    Hello all,

I think I already know the answer to this question, but I wanted to ask. I want to get my father a rifle for Christmas. Is it possible for my to buy and DROS it and then gift it to him without having to do an FFL transfer?

    Thank you for your time.

Intra-familial relationship is non-directional, within CA it's up or down the bloodline. I guess a "reverse intra-familial transfer" should really mean taking something back!

If you both live in CA, yes.

Next year, 2014, he would file the OPLAW form, which should have been modified to handle long guns by then.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
