I was told today that when a SSE is DROS'ed, the customer picks up the firearm, after the wait and needed forms are filled out, that the gun must be in the customers posension 10 days before it can be converted back. FUD maybe? Thanks in advance

FUD (coming back soon with SSE sticky link)

Read the link and I think I know where this one came from...................
After a Californian completes the required forms/background check, and leaves the FFL 10 days later with his new handgun, he's then free to modify his new gun into any other legal form. Specifically, he may wish to convert his newly-acquired single-action revolver back to double-action status, or convert his new single-shot pistol back into multi-shot, magazine-fed status. The individual may decide to turn around and reenter the gunshop and have his FFL dealer assist him with gunsmithing services to swap partsComment

more likely they meant that it must be in SSE-config for the entire 10-day wait while the DROS is in process. Meaning that a dealer can't just have one SSE kit and DROS multiple handguns simultaneously and just drop in the SSE kit just before the pickup, but instead must have an SSE kit for each handgun in 10-day jail.Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
