    Shipping Hangun PARTS question.

Question: I have a slide from a .380 that I need to send in for warranty work. Just want to make sure I'm GTG using the post office. Shipping JUST the slide, no barrel, no frame, no mags no nothing else. I'm 99.9% sure its gtg but never hurts to make sure.
    Thanks for your expert advice

The frame/receiver is the firearm, so there is no problem.

With that said, a FFL shipped an upper and the thing got bent (run over with a truck?) and the USPS tried to claim it was an illegal shipment because it was a firearm shipped to a non-FFL. It took quite a bot of time and effort to get the USPS to cover it, including a letter from the BATF saying that it was not a firearm.
