    1 in 30 days?

Buying a used hand gun from a local FFL they are telling me that it does count towards the 1 in 30 day rule it is not a consignment, or a PPT. It was purchased by the shop and then resold. Does it count as a 1 in 30 day? May understanding was that the 1 in 30 applied to new guns only.

the 1-in-30 law does not reference NEW or USED in its application. all handgun transfers fall under it, unless the transferee (such as an LEO or C&R FFL +COE) is exempt from the law, or the transfer itself is exempt (such as a PPT(and most cosignments are processed as PPT)).

but just because a handgun is used doesn't mean that the 30-day law doesn't apply. otherwise, a dealer could buy a bunch of LEO-trade-in Glocks and then sell them in bulk to one guy that could then sell in bulk on the black market.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Another question about the limit to 1 handgun in 30 days:

Let's say I purchase a handgun. Then before the 30 days are up, I want to purchase another handgun.

Can I pay my FFL for the second handgun, and then have him hold it for me until the 30 days from the previous purchase is up, before we do the DROS paperwork for the second gun?

Let's take it to the extreme example. Could I buy 12 handguns, pay the FFL for all 12, and DROS one every month for a year? Is there any time limit that an FFL can hold a gun for you?

Yes you can buy as many as your wallet lets you. You just can only DROS 1 every 30 +

We do LOT's of SSE guns and lots of our customers will buy more then 1 at a time to hold their place in line for the "kit's". To date one guy bought 7 pistols at the same time last year when we thought SSE was going to die at the end of the year. He wanted to make sure he could do 1 every 31 days. As most shops the do SSE only have a limited number of kit's for ea model they suport
