    First time FFL transfer question?

Before I buy a gun online, please guide me ...
    Step 1 - Buy online
Step 2 - Fine an FFL store/home business, then have them fax a copy of their license number to the online store you bought the gun
Step 3 - Go to the FFL store/home business for DROS.... This is an area where I'm lost. What are the fees that I'm expected to pay?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Step 1 - Find an FFL ...ask for prices on DROS. You might have to check out a few to get the best price for you. Explain to the FFL who you will be buying from and what you will be buying.
    Step 2 - Buy online
Step 3 - Go to the FFL store/home business for DROS
    Should be easy.

Find FFL and ask the FFL what his/her policy is and how you would go about it if you use him/her.

You'll pay the FFL's transfer fee too.. it can range from $10-$150 depending where you are. Also, depending on the shop you might be responsible for a storage fee after X number of days as well. Make sure to ask the shop for all fees and have them give you a quote based on the price of the firearm that you're purchasing. For example, if you were doing the transfer with us you can use this calculator: http://ugimports.com/xfercosts

I provide that to customers so they understand the exact costs when transferring from out of state. The only "other" cost would be the price of a gun lock if the firearm doesn't come with one and otherwise doesn't qualify for the safe affidavit.

This is great stuff. If you were closer to my place, I'd use you for my FFL transfer. Thank you very much for the help.

That is nice, but you might want to check it out since it appears to say that if it is from a private party, even from out of state, that there is no sales tax, which is not correct.

The first step is to find a FFL to do the transfer, then buy it.
