    Question for the FFL experts

So kygunco had a CZ SP-01 in stock, but with the hi-cap magazines. I called and asked about adding a mag block, but they said all they could do is remove the magazines to keep it CA compliant. I said that's fine.

The gun arrived at my FFL so I went in to inspect the gun. They shipped on 10/2 and it arrived 10/4. I ordered early since the gun is so hard to find and I can't DROS until the 20th.

Today I was browsing the forums and I saw a post saying that the CA gun roster list put the part number back on the list. So my part number starts with a 9 instead of a 0.

Straightline doesn't open on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I can't call them for an answer, but am I totally screwed? kygunco return policy states that the gun can't be returned once accepted (I don't want to return it anyway) and I've already been charged for "my" firearm.

Any suggestions/advice would be most appreciated.

If it is the same gun, then changing the magazine would make it the other model number. Some manufacturers give different model numbers when the firearm comes with other items, but the firearm is the same.

Thanks, hopefully my FFL sees it the same way... I really don't want to have to go the SSE route (added cost and all). I even bought 4 10 round mags from him, so hopefully he can help me out with this situation... I'll call them tomorrow and update everyone on what they say.

So it turns out my FFL feels the same way you do I also called another FFL and they said the whole part number thing is stupid since it's just due to the magazine and not the actual gun. Both said they'd have no issues.

My FFL also said that since no mags were delivered and I swapped for legal 10rounders, technically it's the right part number.
