    SOT question

So I'm looking to pick up a couple suppressors, one for my .308 and one for my 5.56 (unless I can shoot a .308 QD on my 5.56 with a different adapter)..but my question is as a class 3 FFL, do I need to re-up my SOT annually to keep the suppressors or is it a one time fee? Thanks in advance.

Its $500(or $1000 depending on your yearly sales) per year. If you stop paying and your SOT expires, you would not longer fall under the exemption for CA law and would have to get rid of the silencers.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Fcuck---yeah, that's what I was afraid of. It's $500 for my income level--just not sure I want to spend $500 a year for what equates to a range toy..although it would be a write off I assume...

It is completely worth it and it is definitely a write off.

so if we are registered as a class 03, do we need to register with itar also just to have possession of the silencer?

I don't know what ITAR is. So no.
