Go to the Bureau of Firearms web site at http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/ and click on the following form:

Report of Operation of Law or Intra-Familial Handgun Transaction (BOF 4544A), pdf

That is a form for transfers between CA residents, not a letter for out of state intrafamilial transfers. I assume that you are looking for a letter for the FFL to do the transfer, correct?

I don't have a form letter, but basically a letter saying that the firearm (w/description) is being transferred with names and relationship and it does not hurt to have a copy of the giver's ID.

I believe OC armory requires a copy of the sender's driver's license. Probably to prove relationship.

Yeah, I know about the drivers license, but OCArmory answered my question about what information actually had to be in the gift letter. Thanks!
