    Live Scan and ammo permit requirement

    I don't know the set up cost but are any FFL holders looking to become a Live Scan facility?

    Authorized private companies and designated government agencies in California may submit requests for criminal offender record information reviews directly to the Department of Justice using the statewide electronic applicant communication network maintained by the Attorney General. These private service providers (PSP) or Live Scan Operators submit these electronic requests on behalf of applicant agencies that are reviewing the suitability of individuals for employment, licensing, certification, foreign adoptions or entry into the United States or another country.
    Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

    Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

    Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

    Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

      I'm not, but I've seen several UPS Stores that now offer this service.. btw: the I went to with my mailbox sucked at it and I ended up going to the local PD instead.

          I've been live scanned many times, and have found that community college police depts are the best place to get this done. As legit LE agencies, they have the facilities. I choose times when school is out, and the place is a ghost town. In and out in 15 min. No fuss. No muss.

              The Fremont PD was just as quick. In-n-out 15 mins payment, etc.. They have the "industrial" strength gear and not the tiny scanners that the smaller shops have.
