I recently moved and updated my address at DMV, but my driver's license doesn't have the new information. At my recent purchase, the retailer swiped my card and updated my address in their store database. I put my new address on the 4473. But when he went to do the DROS, he swiped my card but didn't update anything. He just gave me all my paperwork. He didn't offer me to look over the DROS for validity nor did I think to look at it. He just gave me his copy for signature and thumbprint.
Yesterday, when I was looking at my copy of the DROS, I saw the DROS had the incorrect address.
What can I do to correct? Would this require another re-DROS? (It is the 2nd day into the 10-day.) Because he didn't offer me the chance to proofread the DROS, if there is a re-DROS, would I be expected to pay for the DROS again? Is there such a thing as sending in correct information (on his part) and not have to restart the 10-days?
Thanks.
EDIT: They're not open yet, so I haven't called them yet. But as soon as they are open, you can bet I'll be on the phone with them. Just wanted to see about getting some information before calling.
