    HSC date error

I got my HSC earlier this year and got my first handgun in 30 years. I'm thinking of my second handgun and looked at my certificate and the FFL had put my birth year wrong. Do I need to go back now some 4 months later and ask for a replacement or take the test again ?
I don't want to go get my next handgun and have the FFL notice it's wrong and not sell to me. ( clearly the first one missed the error. )

    Thanks.

Cross out the incorrect date and put the correct date.

I had the same thing happen with my HSC, they made a mistake on the date. It was 4 years in the future

During my next handgun purchase they just changed the date on the card and everything was fine. I'm sure the cards are tracked/registered, and they can look it up if needed.

AFAIK the FFL retains the HSC answer sheet, a photo copy of the purchaser's ID/DL and HSC card, and the upper half of the HSC card. Theoretically they can go back and look at it, however that might mean digging through thousands and thousands of HSC records.

Had the same thing happen when I got mine. I called and corrected it with the lady on the other line. They sent me the corrected HSC card in a few weeks.
