07 License can do it but they would have to change the barrel, affix their manufacturers mark and then it would be changed to a SS. Probably to expensive for a $350 pistol. Im either just going to sell mine on GB and lose the profits or I am putting them in my bros shop in AZ. Havent decided yet. Hope you don't have a lot of them!

Who did you get them through? I got all mine from Davidson's so I called my rep, and he said they are issuing call tags for any California dealer stuck with them. Luckily, I only got stuck with one, and that one will be going back for credit.

I would love to purchase one! I was in the middle of my 10 day when I got the call from my shop. I heard there can still be private party transfers for used ones. Anybody want to sell?!

@Smith If you already started your DROS there shouldn't be a reason to cancel it.

That is not correct. It does not take an 07FFL to do the change and it does not have to be marked. There is a discussion on this. It used to be viewed that way, but that has since changed.

If the firearm dropped off due to the date ending, that would be correct, but in the case of the firearm not matching the exact model tested, the DROS can be cancelled.

Kemesa, do you remember where the discussion was posted as? It appears my understanding has been outdated, where can I read up on the current trends? Was in here on CG? Or somewhere else?

Looks like I learned something new today

                    - This conversion MUST be done by an 07 FFL, or can be done by a private party (unlikely for them to have the parts) prior to shipping.
*update* An 07 FFL is now no longer required for this process as long as it is a basic conversion and not building up a gun from a frame. If you can find an 01 FFL with the knowledge/willingness to do these conversions, you can. I will continue to update the list of shops who will perform this service.
                    - Depending on availability and specific shop policies, you may order from an FFL, transfer from Gunbroker, etc.
                    - This reversible conversion generally entails a replacement barrel of greater length and a mag lock (not revolvers). There are no permanent modifications to the gun.
                    - Keep in mind that certain guns, due to the nature of demand and or design, will be prohibitively expensive or not readily available to be converted.
                    - Either complete DROS at that 07 FFL or have it shipped to an FFL who is willing to accept guns in this format. Note, this may require a deposit on the parts from the 07FFL.
                    - Take possession of the gun after DROS.
                    - Return the gun to its original configuration (note, for guns with the magazine outside of the grip, a bullet button must be used, and you cannot use "normal capacity" magazines).

It was here. I posted about it as I talked to the person I know at the BATF. There was a memo, but it is not for the public (not surprising).

It may be in the thread:

Yeah I have 8 of them. Did we find out what they were removed yet?
