    Sig P250 .40

    Hello Friends,

So, I have a friend who wants to sell his Sig P250 .40 to another friend. Both parties live here in California. The Sig is not on the California Roster of Handguns, and is meant to hold a 13-round magazine. Is there any way for me to facilitate a private party transfer for this handgun?

    Thanks,

    Malcolm (FFL)

Since it is a PPT, the handgun is exempt from needing to be on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale. [PC 32110(a)]

Large capacity (11+ round) magazines can not be transferred to non-exempt persons.
They can be transferred as magazine parts or as a permanent 10 round magazine.

A working magazine is required for the safe handling demonstration, which must be done when the handgun is picked up after the 10 day waiting period.

The HSD can be done when the DROS is submitted. It does not have to be done after the waiting period ends.
