FFL's that will accept Complete Lowers without BB

    Hey Guys!

So I am looking to buy a new AR, I have an FFL back east that is willing to Seperate the upper and lower, ship the upper to my house and the lower to a local FFL to make the transfer legal.

The problem I am having now is finding an FFL that will accept the Lower without a Bullet Button installed.

Let me first say, for those that don't understand the law, a lower, striped or otherwise, is NOT a Centerfire, Simiautomatic Rifle that can accept a detachable magazine. Therefore they do not need a bullet button installed to be legal. I could put a bolt action, or rimfire upper on that lower. Obviously I'm not, I will install the BB before installing my 5.56 upper to make it legal, the FFL back east won't install the BB just Seperate the upper/lower.

Ok, with that out of the way, it seems, every FFL I try in my area either, doesn't accept out of state transfers at all or will only accept lowers with BB's installed. Which is NOT required by the Law.

So who on here knows of an FFL with relatively cheap transfer fees, and that will accept a complete lower (lower, lpk, buffer, tube, stock) without a BB.

I am in the Antelope Valley but I am willing to drive. I'd drive about 100 miles (LA or Fresno). Not too picky. Lol.

    Thanks for your guys help.

FYI: For those that don't know, BB means Bullet Button (a device that makes the magizine only detachable by way of a tool to comply with CA law)

I can do it, I suspect Fort Courage can do it, as well as EBR, all of which are in Ventura County.

Any of these three would be good choices. Also, you could try WTF in Santa Clarita, Addax in San Fernando or Sinister Arms in Thousand Oaks. All are good FFLs!

Just thought I'd keep everyone in the loop. I finally got my lower transferred. I did it through MGM Tactical in Bakersfield. It's basically a police officer who happens to run his FFL out of his house. Very inexpensive and nice guy.

You should have kept on coming over to Taft.

Taft? To many people I don't want to run into out there of the family sort.
