I know that we have to report the acquisition of used firearms to DOJ and our local LE when a customer brings us something. What if we acquire a used firearm from another FFL?

Not to my knowledge since you would never be getting the seller to sign the FDAS paperwork.UG Imports - Fremont, CA FFL - Transfers, New Gun Sales

The secondhand dealer only applies to a FFL buying a firearm (or consignment) for inventory from a private party. It does not apply when the firearm comes from another FFL, nor does it apply to firearms that are being transferred (otherwise all used firearms would be a 30 day wait and the FFL would have to have the secondhand dealer permit).Kemasa.
