    No more firearms with Square.

Just a heads up. This proly only affects the smaller dealers and home based guys (me) but Square has just come out an said no firearms transactions at all, no parts, accessories, ammo...

"By creating a Square Account, you also confirm that you will not accept payments in connection with the following businesses or business activities: (1) any illegal activity or goods, (2) buyers or membership clubs,
    (snip)
    (23) sales of (i) firearms, firearm parts or hardware, and ammunition; or (ii) weapons and other devices designed to cause physical injury"

Take it easy on the little guys as we all scramble to find new firearms/ 2A friendly credit card processors.

Call Tom Bainbridge at Transnational. We use them and they've been phenomenal to us. They've handled our spike in volume (we're doing about 3x what we forecasted) without harassing us for additional documents at better rates than we were getting through PAI.

Before panties get bunched; this is has nothing to do with the firearms business exactly. From another forum I frequent:

I am a manager for First Data. The processor of Square, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Paypal, etc.... The reason why that happens is because Square (along with some other merchant services) do not offer PCI compliance. Needed for your protection (as a merchant) from chargebacks and disputes. I give my small gun shops on a similar phone swiper (or terminal of any kind) at a rate of 1.75% (compared to Square's 2.75% and Paypal's ~3.50%) plus my PCI compliance fee of $9.95. A small price to pay to keep a legitimate business going the way it should. And your insurance that we can protect you from illegitimate chargebacks.
As FFLs you may have seen a uptick in chargebacks. So just a heads up.

First Data is also anti-gun and won't allow keyed-in sales. They were our first processor until we got our account locked. Then we went to PAI, the NRA-endorsed processor and that was an unmitigated disaster. We're now with Transnational and things have been amazing.

                Interesting Thread.
Could you guys please help me and be more specific?
Do you mean you use Transnational BCI?
Do they have a credit card reader that attaches to an iPhone?
Any/all extreme details will be appreciated.

Will they handle online sales? We are looking for someone to handle the online merchant sales.

If anyone has a good recommendation on a online processor please advise!

I heard PAI is supposed to have good rates, but havent used them. I'm using First National Merchant Solutions and they are "good enough" where switching is more trouble than it's worth to me since i have integration with my online shopping cart.

PAI sent out a letter adding .35% fee for all firearms dealers, meaning that they are anti-gun. Due to this, many have switched to TransNational. This was from another forum. I can get the information if you are interested, there is a specific person (Tom) that people have recommended.

We've been using Capital Processing (now called CPN) and we have amazing rates and they're pretty damn chill about everything.

Electronic Transfer would be my choice. They have been in business over 24 years, A+ BBB rating. They cater to the Gun Industry for retail swiped and Ecommerce accounts. They also don't increase their rates like we have recently seen with competitors. We should feel secure that the processor we are with supports our industry and the Second Amendment. I would give them a call - 800-75-5453 x203 - ask for Sarah
