Sounds like you might have a problem. Why didnt she take the firearm with her? If you were in posession of her gun for more than 72 hours you should have done loan dros and 4473 on it. That way it would legally be in your posession. They do this to avoid these types of situations. I would say you might be able to do the DOJ voluntary registration, but Im not sure if thats the correct course of action on this one.Interstate Transfers $100 (DROS included with the price)

You can legally loan a firearm for up to 30 days I thought? I know this does not help the OP, just curious and trying to clarify. Pretty sure it is 30 days. However, yes prior to her leaving you should have done a transfer at an FFL. Just hope she comes back real soon, at which point you guys can go down and transfer it.Comment
