    Desert Eagle .44

Can I buy a .44 Desert Eagle from out of state and have it shipped to an FFL in CA?
The DOJ Roster shows a DE44CA, but supposedly there are no "CA" markings on any Desert Eagles that I have seen.

    Any thoughts?
You guys actually have 9MM in stock????
    And it's How Much????

The answer to your question is yes, but the real question is whether it can be transferred to you and if it is not the CA version, then it could not be transferred.

There is a difference between the DE44 and the DE44CA as the web site lists both:

So one is on the list and the other is not. The FFL might not know which is which and might transfer it or the FFL might not know and refuse to transfer it.

According to the manufacturer, the CA version only has two slots in the rail and also under the hammer there is an additional "nub" which is a modification to pass the CA drop test. So, if the FFL knows this, then if it is not the CA version, you would not be able to transfer it. It does not have to be marked to make a difference, which does make it difficult, but that is just the way it is.
